Talking Got rid of my RL

Hey everybody. It's been a long time since I've posted here, but I'm back to gain some more knowledge, especially due to the fact that I have a new ride.

My 97 Acura RL sedan is gone. Instead, I now have my sister's 2001 Honda Prelude. Basically, I bought her car for both cash and my car, then she took my car and traded it for a blue 2006 Mazda MX-5 convertible (sweet car!). So now I have a sports car.

Of course, the downside is the paint is in horrible shape, and it's red so the imperfection are even more pronounced.

I plan on doing the normal clay + 3-step process, although I might do a vinegar bath to remove any remaining water spots.

At any rate, it's good to be back. Once I have the process done, I'll be posting pics.

Keep an eye on the oil level in that car. H series V-TEC motors are known for consuming a bit. Should be a fun car to have though and there are TONS of mods available but they tend to be expensive Japanese import parts.

She was looking at an RX-8, incidentally, and the oil consumption happened to be a problem with that vehicle as well.

The good thing is, the car is just shy of 50,000 miles and has been serviced religiously by her Honda dealer. So mechanically speaking, it received it's TLC. (The RL had 123,000 miles OTOH.)

Now the paint is a different story...
