Happily I am staying home with family. Spent to many good times away from home. This New Year will be spent just with family. In the safe confines of our house. There are just to many crazy people out there for me.

I'll spend another quiet year at my friend's house watching football and having dinner.
I used to go to NY City each year with all the guys and walk through Times Square after the ball dropped - that was back in the day - no bathrooms either  After drinking for a few hours, it wasn't pretty. But, plenty of drunk girls quick to give a New Year's kiss

The wife and I are probably going to the movies early in the day and staying home. Too many drunks on the road for me to want to go out anywhere.

Normally I go low key, but this year we're going to head down to the Horseshoe Tavern (local club venue) and see The Sadies and Elliot Brood. They're a couple of Canadian alt-country-bluegrass-rock type bands that put on a good show.

I'll be on duty at the firehouse, working the night tour from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Next year, I get to work both Thanksgiving and Christmas day...
