Got A New Car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha no not really....just something i saw on another forum. i wouldnt mind having one of these. i guess in europe, SMALL cars like these are becoming quite popular, since they are quite efficient for most people. im sure they will never become mainstream in america though. ive only seen one car like it...some really really small mercedes that was getting some vinyl graphics at a shop where my friend works at.
Overview

Thinner than some motorcycles and small enough to legally ride side-by-side with other small vehicles in traffic lanes. Capable of seating two, though really designed for one, it only takes up one-quarter of a standard parking space and is able to park sideways in many cases. It appears that one prototype vehicle has been produced by the company, and it was shipped to Prodrive in January 2005, where the design will be duplicated for production models.
The first model will be the luxury Tango T600, costing roughly US$85,000. Premium features partially offset the high cost of the early kit vehicles, which are outfitted with a leather-lined interior and a hefty Nakamichi sound system. The T200 model is hoped to be released in 2008 and cost $40,000, while the T100 is expected in 2009 with a $19,000 price tag.
While the vehicle looks top-heavy, it is actually fairly stable because of the heavy battery pack. About two-thirds of the 3,000+ lb (1360+ kg) curb weight in the prototype—comparable to a standard sedan—is taken up by the batteries, mounted low in the frame. Production models are expected to have lower weight, ranging from 2,200 to 2,500 lbs (1,000 to 1,130 kg). Propulsion is provided by two electric motors.

Specifications

* Width: 39 inches (~99 cm)
* Length: 101 inches (~257 cm)
* Weight: 3000+ lbs (1360+ kg)
* 0–60 mph (0–96 km/h): 4 seconds
* ¼ mile (0.4 km): 12 seconds @ 120 mph (193 km/h)
* Top speed: 150 mph (240 km/h)
* Range: 60–80 miles (96–128 km)

Interior/Exterior:

* Carbon fiber body
* Connolly leather interior
* Sparco seats
* A/C & heater
* Sparco steering wheel
* MoTeC dash
* 400-Watt sound system

Mechanical:

* Two Advanced DC electric motors producing over 1,000 ft-lbs of torque
* 2,000 amp Zilla controller with 600 kilowatt peak output
* Front suspension: unequal-length control arms with coil-over shocks
* Rear suspension: trailing arm with coil-over shocks
* 4-wheel disc brakes
* Cruise control
* Front and rear trailer hitch receivers

Dimensions:

* 39 inches wide, 5 inches narrower than a Honda Gold Wing
* 8 feet 5 inches long, shorter than many motorcycles, for perpendicular parking
* 60 inches high, 5 inches taller than a Honda Civic, for visibility
* Expected gross weight approximately 2,500 pounds
* Ground clearance of 4 inches, adjustable with coil-over shocks

and yes it handles well, and no it wont tip over haha. here is an autocross vid:

Looks like half of one of these butt-ugly things

Does that make it half as ugly or just half-assed?

Hey.... leave the xB's alone, that one is very tasteful.

I'm trying to figure out how such a small vehicle can weigh so much. I mean really, 2,500-3000+ lbs? do battery's really weigh that much? I wouldn't mind driving it around though. those kinda numbers are sweet from an electric car. I just wonder how you plug it in at night?
