The elusive 700 series is haunting me now. Ive been bowling since I was 4 years old ,but I took about 10 years off,and now im back at it.My average hovers around 195 but this year Ive dialed it in a little better. Any good bowlers out there?

I am a low 190's bowler but the other 4 guys on my team average 202,205,217, and 228. Three years ago I was a mid 160's bowler and now I won't be satisfied until I can average 200 for the year. It really helps to have some guys that know what they are doing....they have helped me immensely.

It is a pretty strong league.....I would say the overall average for the 120 bowlers is at least 180 and maybe 185. The year before last 11 different guys had 300 games and some of those guys had more than one.

And I usually just throw a straight ball. I can sometimes manage to throw a decent curve, but other times it just ruins my game and I go back to the straight throw.

The Hammer is the Vibe I would have to change my style drastically if I am throwing fingertip because I am currently a straight ball thrower and will have to learn how to throw a hook.
After that, I will have to concentrate on a new bag. The shoes are already covered. I have a pair of Dexter Jason (Jason II Shown):

In "my" bowling alley, the U-Turns are hugely popular. They work good on the synthetic lanes. Good luck with your choices, you will like the difference !!

The next season, 12 showed up to the league open house, the next week when the league actually started, I was the only one who showed up. Just kind of gave up after that. All the other bowling alleys are a PITA to get to.
