Because they change their underwear on the off years. Too much at once might send them into fits.

I kid, I kid.

I hate this time of year. By the time I finish working, it is pitch dark outside. I need that extra hour of daylight in the early evening, not in the morning when I am asleep!

Oh well, in 2007, the time changes 3 weeks earlier in the spring and 1 week later in the fall.

LOL! It's not every other year. They just changed the law so we will observe day light savings time starting in '06. Now it just comes doen to which time zone we go to-probaly eastern.

The whole time change thing may not seem like a big deal, but it is huge. I can't find it now, but a few years ago there was an article about DLST and car headlights. Going to DLST saves comsumers millions every year in replacement bulbs alone.

Oh man, every day I come to this forum and I keep seeing "don't forget! set clocks back 1 hour tonight!", so I keep setting my clocks back an hour. Now it gets dark for me at 2:00 in the afternoon and I get to work three hours before someone unlocks the door.

It is pretty funny watching how confused my dog is now though.

I hate this time of the year too. It gets dark too early. Why do we do this again? I think I remember reading or hearing that it was to save "candle" light/fuel in the olden days. I for one don't use candles for light and never have
