Got my electric bill...I might have to stop detailing!

nah I wouldn't do that!

I can thank my compact flourescent bulbs! I replaced all of the original 100W round bulbs with 26W compact fluorescents, including the one in the garage.
That bill includes the days when I've used the PC to apply SSRs and AIO to 2 cars too!
BTW my oven/stove is electric as well, and I have a fishtank pump running 24/7.

That's a nice bill. I couldn't dream of having such a low electric bill, although it did drop about 35% after I started turning off all the PCs at night instead of leaving them on 24/7.
Fluorescents are good too. They don't highlight defects as well as incandescents but most of the time they're good enough, and just use a spotlight when needed.

LOL I noticed that too. How can the "customer charge" be more than my electric charges? That's not fair! And here I am going broke with these outrageous bills!

HA!

I pay $60+ for a 2 bedroom apt.

You'll be amazed at what a rotary polisher uses as well as your shopvac.

Yeah this is just for a 1-BR apt.
And heat is included in the rent, so my electric shouldn't go up much during the winter. Just a bit each month 'til December due to shorter daylight hours.

Wow that's whacky. We call it "hydro" here - running the a/c all summer really killed us. I envy you!

.09 cents a kwh is what they charge you, but your average kwh cost including all the "customer Charges" brings that up to .21 cents a kwh.

Thats more than I pay in crazy California...my bill is way more than yours...use about 2k-3k kwh in the summer, and a kwh is about .125 cents....but the avg. cost just around .13 cents/kwh with all cost included.

70kwh?? geez... I think I used that much posting this! When I used to live in an apartment, something was wrong with the water meter, whereby it never changed. So I'd only pay the $4 service charge every month. I never knew if it was broken, or if the meter was just in a really high resolution. I secretly wondered if it was like in the million gallon granularity, and one day it would roll one digit and I'd have like a $10,000 water bill...
