What cruel need compelled me to make such a purchase? Surely there were other mini systems that would better serve me, but in the end I entered my credit card number and pushed the button...

Paul Harvey can do that to you, been listening to him since 1973, when I was 12.

I've heard the Bose Wave in the Bose store at Grapevine Mills Mall (near DFW airport) and it does sound really good. However, I feel the speaker set-up I have with my computer sounds just as good and it was a lot less. I can't take it with me though like you can the Wave.
