buying Razors.......***!!!

i went to H-E-B yesterday to buy some shaving supplies. I purchased some Edge gel which cost about $2.60 which is a lot high than what it used to be which was about $1.75. then i go to look at the Gillette Sensor Excel razor.
I can buy the pckg with the handle and 3 razors for $8bucks or 4 refill cartridges for $7.75. I have like 4 gillette handles lying around the house but 8 bucks for freakin razors what gives.... it was like 2 months ago when the razors were like 5 bucks for the 4 cartridges but it seems like the prices are goin higher and higher.

Ive tried my dads electric razor but it doesnt cut well enough through my beard cause now im growin facial hair like crazy.

And to think i was going to go all out and ge the Mach 3 i think that kit's like 15 bucks

rant over

Go with a classic straight blade! Just sharpen it as needed and watch out when you shave!

Have you thought of going with a double-edged safety razor?

I am probably going to switch over and once you bite the initial bullet, refills are cheap...

I have considered the old type razor, do you find its nicks and cuts more? I have never tried it.

The mach turbo is an awesome shave, with some pre shave oil and the right gel nothing comes close but its getting very expensive.

I tried EBay and found they sell a lot of counterfeit blades, you will know after the first shave. If you find a reputable seller though you get the real thing at a huge savings, near 50%

Condiser trying a quality electric like the Panasonic line. Mine is completely water immersible so you could shave in the shower and it cleans up just using warm water and soap. I don't shave in the shower but I do use the Mennen pre-shave electric gel to make my beard stand up. The pre-shave also helps the razor glide with much less irritation. You will have to give your face at least 30 days to adjust from switching from the blades, though.

You can buy the blades for the Mach 3, etc off Ebay really cheap. I bought like 90 blades there a while back for $40.00.
