Eminem retiring?
Here's a thread that probably no one (myself included) on Autopia cares about. Link Eminem to retire eh? I'm guessing it's not really about producing. Hell IMO he has single handedly ruined all the posthumous Tupac releases as of late with HORRIBLE beats, and awful guest rappers. I think the real reason is his schtick is so played out. No one wants to hear him whine about his wife cheating on him, or how angry he is at his mom, or how he hates gays anymore. It's tired. I would be happy to see all rappers retire early, and let's move on to a form of music that isn't recycled from video game songs and 1970s R&B.

Doesn't bother me at all, he has been going downhill lately. I loved the goofy sense of humor he showed in his first album, but he has really sucked since then. I miss the wit he had on the Slim Shady LP : (from Cum On Everybody) I told em, "Meet me at Kid Rock's next concert
I'll be standin by the Loch Ness Monster (okay) peace out (bye!!)"
These days, his music is all about anger and whining, at a time when he has nothing to complain about. It was nice to see a rapper with a sense of humor, but I guess those days are gone. These days, "the rap game" is all about whose got the biggest rims and the most weed. It's like the Wild West without the charm. Thats why I listen to country .

Don't forget objectifying women! Women are just boobs and a crotch with legs so they can walk to the nearest man and have sex....right?

Nah, he doesn't me either. I find him quite funny sometimes in his videos.....in a stupid funny kind of way. I laugh at how he takes shots at various other artists. In the end, I don't care if he's around or not. It's the kind of deal where if you don't like it, just change the station (or channel). Actually, I find myself riding without the radio turned off anyway. It's the only quiet time I seem to be able to get these days.

He took it way too far, and pre-pubescent wannabes supported him way too much. The same for 50 cent, imo.

Heh, 50 Cent. A living testament to the poor marksmanship and round selection among inner-city youth (he's been shot 9 times and survived).

i think people are upset because eminem is rich for bitching about everyday life like we all do anyway. why can't we be millionare's for it? i think everyone should stop hating and realize that the reason he makes those songs and raps about all that stuff is because its what sold his records. i'm pretty sure he will change his style up yet again and make more millions because of it.

"Artists"? I always wonder how rappers and other pop musicians came to be referred to in the same way as real producers of art - Michelangelo,Caravaggio, Monet, et al.

Hmmmm, I hope he doesn't retire. I think he is one of the most talented lyricist of our time. I am a fan of almost all music, whiney rap included.
