Public Service Reminder About Signatures

Perhaps you are familiar with our rule here that signatures may have a maximum total of three lines, contain no commercial links or graphics. ( You may view the complete rules here )

Lately we've been finding when moderators send out PMs to members with signatures against the rules, they have been non compliant, ignoring the notice.

Recently, in just two days we've had three members ignore requests to modify their signatures. This is NOT the job of the moderator staff. It is expected you voluntarily change your signature when you receive a PM.

Please keep in mind that when a moderator sends a note about a signature change, it means the signature should be changed ASAP, within 24 hours of receipt of the PM.

We are strongly considering issuing Time Outs to get the point across to those who don't take PM requests seriously. So please, keep in mind:


* Signatures are a privilege, not a right.

* If you are using signatures and other profile features to make political statements... DON'T.

* 3 lines max, including spaces

* no commercial links of any kind

* no graphics



Just take the second to change it if you goofed. Not a big deal.
