Computer Setup

Just finished setting up my grandparents new computer. Its like a 3.2 ghz P4 with hyperthreading tech. Gig of RAM, 17" LCD screen, crappy speakers, but they're old so it doesn't matter. I spend lots of time here, so its alright, but I wish they would have gotten the full package for high speed internet. This is quick for browsing, but when it comes to uploading, I sat here for 4 minutes on this single picture.
Well, anyways, if any one got a new computer recently, post 'em up.

They aren't new, actually old as dirt but they get the job done. We haven't broken the Ghz barrier at our house yet

Notice the image is stored on the Fedora forum gallery. Just installed FC3 last night and am still trying to get through the 255 updates
I had been running RH 9 and may still go with RHE Workstation but, I wanted to at least try Fedora first. What do you think of it?

I had my old college room mate build me my computer.
Abit NF7-S (version 2) Motherboard
AMD Athlon 2500+ Barton
(cooled with Thermal take SLK900 and 92mm Vantec
Stealth fan, had a Tornado in there before.)
ATI Radeon 9600XT video card
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card
Creative Inspire 6600 6.1 surround sound system
80 gig Western Digital JB series hard drive
160 gig Western Digital External media center hard drive
Motorola 802.11g wireless network card
Samsung 910T 19" LCD monitor
Logitech LX700 wireless keyboard and mouse set.
NEC DVD/CD burner/reader (2500A.)
All this powered through a Belkin Isolator surge outlet.
Good system for me to watch movies on, listen to music, and play games (Rainbow Six 3 and Counterstrike condition zero.)
I don't use a chair, my bed is in the middle of the room.

I am currently running FC3, and have been with Fedora since Core 1. I like it alot. Was one of the "original" members of Fedora forum, I think i was in like the first couple hundred members about a month after it launched. It has really come a long way since FC1. I prefer Fedora to mandrake or Suse just because it is waht I am used to, I use it and I like it. My only compalint is the crappy media support, but overall it isn't too nothing unworkable.
I haven't updated in a long time, I'm kind of scared to know how many updates I have waiting, lol.

I have been running Red Hat since version 6.2 first came out. I have run every version since including the Enterprise editions when I had my consulting business. I am more than a little dissapointed with the direction Red Hat chose but, have not found a distribution that I like better. I am probably going to go with Red Hat Enterprise edition 4 but, wanted to give Fedora a try.
I am not one that likes the bleeding edge which is why it took me so long to give Fedora a try
