Car upgrades? I haven't had the opportunity to enjoy much profit, but that will hopefully change in the near future. | |

I see it as pretty much just a regular summer job, the perks being that I'm my own boss and that I can turn wayyy more money than my classmates, if I feel like working for it. Its not really something I plan on doing professionally once I have my degree (Chemical Engineering, money shouldn't be a problem ), but I do intend to keep on hobby detailing for the rest of my life.
I think it'd be a way diffirent story if I had a wife and kids though.

I'm not a pro, but the cash I make goes to buy more supplies to play with and the rest goes in the bank to be spent on whatever comes up whether it's bills or something for fun.
Last week I did a few washes and with the $100 I bought my dad a father's day present to get it done early.
Since I am looking for a new job because I just finished school, detailing helps pay for my health insurance, car insurance, gas and a few other miscellaneous expenses. Moving back in with my folks while in school has saved me TONS of money.
While looking for a new job, as long as I don't have to dip into my savings that I accumulated the previous 8 years I worked in an office then I'm happy. Detailing has helped me prevent that.

Ultimately, I will put 15% into investments, 50% into the business growth, and the remainder will be for the family needs.
