Join Date: Mar 2003 Location: Wisconsin Posts: 51 | OUCH! The Pain & Agony of Waxing My Back! Okay, so I recently lost a bunch of weight and I'm feelin' pretty good about myself. But one thing that still bugs me is my back hair. Now I'm no gorilla, but I'd say the hair on my back is equivalent to the air on most people's arms. And it's really black. Yuck! So I thought about shaving it off. But my wife said it will grow back even thicker! Well I certainly don't want that. So she suggested Nair. The only problem with Nair is the hair grows back rather quickly. So there's only two options left: electrolysis or waxing. Electrolysis is $300.00 per session and they said it would take three to four sessions to get it from coming back. That's $1,200.00!!! So I opted to have my sife wax my back. Never, never, never again. I'd rather get a tattoo on my penis than get my back waxed again. And not only did it hurt like a son of a *****, now I've got all this sticky wax all over my back.
If, and that's a huge IF, I get my back waxed again I think I'm going to a professional. I think my wife got a little too much pleasure out of my pain! She kept whispering to me, "Try child birth sometime."
Have any of you hairy guys had any success stories with back-hair removal?

Why would the hair grow quicker if it is shaved | |

Tried waxing it for her, **** that hurts...I'm thinking of just going to the hair thingy clinic. They do chest areas and arms and stuff for like 300 bucks. So around 50-60 bucks a time.

You are married, just live with it. If you were single and it bothered you then maybe it would be worth $1200 to get rid of it.

The angle of the blade makes incoming hair look thicker due to the fact the hair is on an angle. Bad analagy but if you have ever looked at carpet samples you will see what I mean, they cut the edges on an angle to make the pile appear thicker.
Once you shave it though your committed...........
Try the http://razorba.com/
I laughed when a friend showed me a link but they sell a ton of them

God, imagine what women have to go through to shave/wax where it hurts more.
Thankfully, society says that it's OK if I'm hairy waist down

But you may want to test a small area first it can be irritating to some peoples skin.
