This poor dog needs some help!

Not sure how many people out there have seen the plight of this poor girl but she is in need of some kind-hearted people to help her. I don't post here much I'm more of a lurker, but I DEEPLY feel the need to post this. I know there are a lot of good people here, help if you can.

****Warning the pictures on the site are graphic this dog is/was in bad shape, just be prepared****

Read about and help Gypsy

I don't know about you, but I would love to have just a few minutes in a locked room with the miserable excuse for a human being who did this to this poor dog. I guarantee he would look a lot like the dog did when I was finished!

I dont know how any human being could do that to an animal. The fact that they can look themselves in the mirror afterwards is just sick. Now the poor dog is going to have a really hard time getting rescued because you cant ever fully trust it. It's been mistreated all it's life....so there is a chance that it could turn violent really quick without warning.....and it wouldnt even be the dogs fault. Just absolutely sickens me that things like this go on. I saw in the paper today that some mayor in a North GA town was involved in a cock fighting (roosters, sicko!) ring too. How much of a twisted pervert do you have to be to get off on animals fighting?!

I'll be happy to help you! I can't look at those pics again - it breaks my heart, sickens me and enrages me at the same time.

Jeremiah- Thanks for posting that. Tough to read/look at, but it's only by confronting such things that we can do anything to help.

Hope everyone's sending in what donations they can, those folks are doing some great work.

I'm gonna be optimistic. I've heard some pretty encouraging stories about previously abused dogs, and I've also spent time with a few of them. A lot of it hinges on how the dog is rehabilitated, and they seem to know what they're doing. If Gypsy finds the right home, things should work out OK.

A few minutes? Wouldn't take me that long. Bullit to the brain. Problem solved.

That police show on Animal Planet about those cops in NY City show some pretty bad stuff.

My friend adopted an abused dog that was severly mistreated. It was awful. Even years later, if my friend were to yell like cheering for a football game or shouting or darting through the house, the dog would melt down and shiver in the corner and soil herself. It took a lot of patience and love to care for her.

It's just beyond me how anyone can do such things. I have 3 dogs and couldn't imagine hurting them. It's good to see that there are a lot of caring people here The world needs more good people like the people here at Autopia!

I cannot believe that, I am a dog person and was very upset when we lost ours as I was afraid of them before I had barney, a lovely golden retriever.

I actually feel sad for the dog it is such a same unbelievable. It does look lively from these pictures, maybe to lively for me but its a fighter thats for sure!

It surprises me that people who do this to these animals are still alive. Why must innocent people and animals die and take abuse while a$$holes who think this is fun, live? If I ever got wind of anything like this, I'd be the first in there with every law enforcement agency available.

This is absolutely terrible, but the getting pictures are remarkable. She came a long way.

I am sickened and angered about the inhumane, inhuman, and criminal treatment of that poor animal. I was snacking and suddenly lost my appetite ! I just do not see how a person could do that and not even euthanize the poor dog, just leave it there to die miserably. Sick !
