Was Autopia down yesterday?

I tried to access Autopia.org several times yesterday, but it was down. Was it just me, or did others have problems?

I had trouble too. My old link brought me to another of Davids pages without Forums. Then when I tried just the plain .Org it wouldn't work

I couldn't reach it yesterday afternoon until about noon today.

I suspect some DNS went down and it took a while to propigate. I'm on BellSouth and we had big thunderstorms in the southeast yesterday.

Heh, it was a Bellsouth DNS server that I was able to use to resolve autopia.org. I remembered it from when I lived in Atlanta and had dial-up and DSL through em.

What is going on with Comcast the last few weeks? It was really bad last week and I called them and they told me it was a DNS server problem...which they would fix as soon as they could figure out what was wrong. I complained that it had been slow for about the past week and I was told "we've been having latency [Comcast-speak for "slow"] since the DNS server went down last week".

How complicated is this that it takes them weeks to resolve a problem like this? Can you imagine the frustration you would have if you had VoIP???

I used it as an excuse to put in a service call to exchange my modem. I said it always goes down. I have one that is like 4 years old It's this hideous white RCA modem. I want a cool, sleek new one
