Best bang for the buck

Story:

Today, I went to Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI to watch a few of the Maximas I know run. For the most part, the runs were pretty decent but I was paying a lot of attention to the other cars that were running.

One of my favorite cars that ran was a Lexus SC 300 with a TT Supra Motor that was ran a best of 10.4 in the quarter. Right behind that was one of two black '71 Chevelles that ran 10s in the quarter consistently and did a lot of wheelstands.

However, one of the strongest runners of the day was a yellow Z06 Corvette. This car was running 11-12 second quarters consistently. At any rate, I was in the parking lot talking with one of the WI Maxima owners about MFs and other detailing goodies when I heard the most hellacious bang. I turned around and saw a large plume of black smoke and some flame. Pretty soon, a crowd of folks ran over to the track to see what was going on.

End result:

Apparently, the driver sprayed too soon and the nitrous went kaboom.

Was this a black on black Lexus from TX? If so did you notice his detailing job?

Sprayed too soon? How did the car get to that spot? That looks pretty hellacious I might say.

Nope. It was a white Lexus SC 300.

Had to be pushed from the track. The other side was worse and the interior was pretty bad, too.

When I say the title of this thread, I was going to recommend this place I know in Costa Rica, but then I saw the picture.

Ugh..I can imagine how that guy feels. We had this tricked out Supra show up for our Z meet. The car stalled in front of all of the Z's and the guy couldn't get it started. He had to push it away...
