UK Autopians... Meet this Summer?

I`m thinking of planning a meet for us Uk Autopians.
I`m not sure of the format the event would take , but I`m putting my intention on here.

SO how many would be seriously interested?
I`m based North of Manchester,Saddleworth area so would that be an issue?
I was thinking of using this to share technique and product analysis etc and a bite to eat/ general get together.

What month would suit?What type of venue?

A couple of ideas I had are...
A rotary beginners session,
I will be getting a rotary and will have access to scrap body panels as my friend owns a Bodyshop(only small place).
I can get a few panels stored till then.
Also a PC tutorial... we could all share tips for the best usage etc.

Your input would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

A general meet-up would be a cool idea! - even if just to chat with like minded (i.e. obsessional) people about hints and tips to get the best results. As well as the opportunity to show off your car / see other peoples results.

i think a summer month would be ideal - perhaps June and a mid-week evening somewhere. I know the Mini owners clubs used to meet up in out-of-town shopping centres (trafford centre was used a few times - which I know you will know of m4xmw) so there is car parking space where people can meet and there are food venue's etc.

what do you think?

Sounds good to me. Trafford center is about 10 mins from sunny Bolton.

OK, that can be arranged if it suits most people.
I`m about 35 mins away.

I was wondering if a few wanted to have a get together at a garage or workshop etc... and try some practical stuff too...
Another date perhaps?

Think a weekend day would be better, esp. if people have a long way to come.

I'd be up for it, got a small meet gonna happen when I get my new unit kitted out for tutorials. And to swap hints. Good idea.

Yes I was thinking of a proper meeting point, and on a weekend.
It depends how many and if i can get definate numbers together.
May or June sound ok?

Sounds great to me as well, I'm only 20 minutes from the Trafford Centre, but remember the M60 is a nightmare & there is late night shopping until 10pm.

I vote for the Reebok Stadium at Horwich, much quieter & it's only 10 minutes from home

Seriously a local Northern meeting in the evening is great but we need a central location at the weekend to get everbody involved & we could ask some of our friendly suppliers like Alex to show up.

I'd be up for a meet but Manchester is a fair old trek for me. Would prefer a more central location but will go with the majority.
