Hey, it doesn't look that bad. It's hard to see, did you just tag the hood a little? It would be lucky if you missed it, but it looks like you just caught the edge. What's that in the last pic? Are those some parts from underneath?

Ok I do apologize and to you too Scottwax, seriously. Second I hope you guys understand I'm alittle edgy since this accident. I hope were cool here, forgiven?

Ok now the details:

I was in a 35mph Zone on Theo Moll Drive. There's a couple bends around this road. Around the first bend there must of been some black ice because little did I know that was about to hit it. My truck started to slide and out of reflexes I slammed on the brakes. I couldn't control the truck regardless what I did and next thing I know I hit a concrete barrier. I hit the barrier going about 10mph. The stupid thing is my truck is equipped with dual air bags and neither one of them came out when it should've.

So with some persuasion I got my truck unstuck from the snow but I fried my tranny and as a result I lost all the forward gears but it still has reverse, what good does that do me? not much. A minute later I was able to flag down a trucker and he called the local PD and I called mother on my cell phone, thank god I had it with me! 3 units from the PD came out to question me and look at the truck. One of the cops radio'd the local tow garage and came out to haul me out. But because of my too harsh persusion from the getting the truck unstuck I fried the tranny and had to have it towed to the Ford Garage where it sits now. I'm ok, not even a scratch on me but the truck is way out of whack due to this as you see in the pics. Thus far we havn't done anything because we have yet to deal with the insurance company. This process will take awhile and hopefully I can get my truck back and fixed A.S.A.P It really sucks to not have your own vehicle.

I feel bad because I obviously caused the accident and hence the title of this thread, I paniced. Words cannot describe how irate I am about panicking. A lady from the insurance company called and since my tranny damage is accident related, they offered me a rental car at the costs of the insurance policy.

So that's the skinny for now and all in all, the feeling of being irate and edgy for awhile gets old and I just want my truck back and this thing blown over, that's all. I'm sick of it, I'm sick of panicking and I'm sick of being broke. That's about it for now and I'll keep everyone who cares updated of what's going on,,,,,,,AR

P.S Again I do apologize for being mean to everyone here. I think you can understand how I'm feeling.

Setec, it may not be bad as far as the damage itself goes but it's bad enough for me to make me rebuild my perspective of driving, I think you can understand that. The last pic was supposed to be just a side shot of the damage. The tires there are just old tires that Ford replaced on there cars in the garage,,,,AR
