Garage Make Over, Who wants to help me :)

Well, I'm going to finally give my home garage a full make over and with that in mind I'd like to get some opinions regarding the following: (I plan to do detail jobs inside the garage)

* Cabinets- I have narrowed down to this one, mostly because the size and pricing

Car Guy Garage: Five Piece Starfire White Garage Storage

* Lights- Maybe 4 of these guys

4 Lamp T5 Hi Efficiency Fluorescent High Bay-5000K Lamps Included

* Air Conditioned - Some type of portable unit, don't know which one yet?

* Floor Paint- Don't know yet

Any other things or suggestions? Remember this is just a weekend thing so nothing over the top

Juan, you can pick up the same lites, maybe different brand name, at any Home Depot, Lowes, etc for a lot less money.
I got two of them at an auction last year, still in the box, did have to buy bulbs, (am cheap, go to auctions a lot), paid $20 each.
Watching for 2 more of them, will replace the other cheaper one I have in Grumpy's Working Garage.
Those cabinets are nice, however, just like the lites, go shopping at the big box stores, ,may find you can save a bundle.
Those kinds of nice things don't work well in Grumpy's as too much painting, grinding, welding, etc goes on and they would look like crap in 2 months.

Juan, I got the 6 bulb lights very similar at Home Depot.

You sure you want to paint or epoxy the floor? I had done mine twice, properly prepped, cleaned, acid wash etc...and both times it lifted and just ended up looking like crap. '

Some light staining that I am sure with some scrubbing and washing it would look almost new again. But, overall it has held up really well.

I go with Greg on the mats, those are what I had down in the Tech Center at AI.
Easy to pull up if necessary, highly chemical resistant, ours were down for 5 or 6 years and still looked new.
Even if you do "paint/epoxy" the floor, I recommend that you put one or two of these down over the main work area where you will have a vehicle setting while working on it.
When they get too dirty, drag em outside, spray on some all purpose, run a broom over them and hose off. No water inside the shop leaving a wet floor, plus these are very anti-skid when wet.

I have a few immediate concerns, will it wrinkle? what about when I come in with my car that generates a LOT of heat underneath? will that specific area will it get damaged? I had floor titles before and with time and the heat the corners will raise up, I wonder if this will also happen? I will go to that website and do some more reading.

What epoxy did you use? I've read nothing but horrible stuff about the Rustoleum water based and the Behr products. The Rustoleum Professional and Epoxy-Coat (both 100% solids) seem to get nice reviews. I'm about to do my floor, I thought about the mats but the idea that water gets trapped underneath isn't appealing to me. I like the idea of being able to squeegee the water out.

We never had a problem, but we never let a car set on them with the motor running for more than 5 minutes or so. These don't curl up as there is no glue involved and they are one large peice, not floor tiles.
If you get water of them, just broom or squeezy it off, very little ever gets under them unless they are placed on a slanted floor with the water coming from the high side, then it only penetrates a couple of inches due to the weight of the mat.
