Ideas for a haunted hayride?
Ok guys, me along with a few friends are putting together a haunted hayride for the surrounding community since there is nothing in our area like that.
We will basically take the tractor and trailer through a narrow deep woods path about 10:00-12:00 pm Halloween night. I have already gotten some ideas consisting of using the local police to set up a scare, dead deer hanging up by a tree, chainsaws, droplets of water, string, bodies, air compressor blasts, fog, strobe lights etc.
What crazy ideas do you guys have for something like this? I mean, something above the obvious of "shoot em with silly string". I want to keep it at most gory, not very demonic as I'm sure some people on the ride will be church folk, so nothing to crazy.
Lemme know what you got!

Re: Ideas for a haunted hayride?
Just make sure you comply with all local codes and ordinances, fire regs, etc. I know a guy who did something so elaborate it got on TV and the town came down on him like a ton of bricks.

Re: Ideas for a haunted hayride?
This has been going on for about 10 years (run by a local farmer), but this year I am the one designing the ride, so we should be good on codes. I figure if nobody has complained so far, nobody will.

Re: Ideas for a haunted hayride?
Well I'm not sure what they do down here yet. But up in Michigan (and other places I'm sure) near the end is always someone with a real chainsaw chasing after the riders like texas chainsaw style (just umm... remove the chain first )

Re: Ideas for a haunted hayride?
Yeah, we already have those in place.
I was more meaning I need ideas that arent obvious already. I was thinking of having the tractor break down, and while the driver is checking whats wrong, have someone come out of the woods and do something crazy.

Re: Ideas for a haunted hayride?
If it's at Hill Ridge - paying JR for the ride is scary enough LOL!
Seriously, maybe running a bunch rubber bats over the trailer, you could have them either on a line accross the path or maybe a guy with a cheap rod & reel doing it freehand.
BTW- if my Dad was still living, he'd turn 100 years old on Halloween.

How about some zombies in blue pants with red shop towels?
When I see them down at the tunnel wash it sure scares the crap out of me.

Re: Ideas for a haunted hayride?
unloaded paint ball guns that fire rapidly work pretty well. We have used my a5 that will shoot about 18-20x per second and it is very loud!
