2 Less Forum Sponsors??

I just noticed that we're down 2 Forum Sponsors. There's now just 5 (with the new addition being HD Car Care). Anyone know what happened to Phil @ Detailer's Domain? All of his posts in the Detailer's Domain section are gone? I hope this change isn't affecting Autopia's cash flow?

Re: 2 Less Forum Sponsors??

I just love how major changes happen around here with no mind to let the people that actually use this forum on a day to day basis know what happens. I'm sure it;s a mutal decsion on both sides for whatever reasons but there should be some kind of global annoucement to the members of such drastic changes that happen around here for no apparent reason. Phil just started that whole pro detailers ask and answer thing that I thought was going to be very promising. Apparently we'll never see the result to it I guess.???

Re: 2 Less Forum Sponsors??

just throwing my 2 cents out there, perhaps the ROI was very little considering the investment the sponsors made to support the forum? What I am trying to say is what if the costs of being a sponsor increased while the sponsors at the same time saw little return on inventment (ROI) to justify continued support?

perhaps there is another under lying issue at play here and one of the 3 parties involved could spread more light on this issue for the public?

Perhaps the new sponsor had something to do with the other 2 leaving? I have my own theories about what I believe to have had happened, but I dont fill this is the correct "venue" to discuss that here. Rumors are always a bad thing....

I dont want to add fuel to the fire if you will, I am open to talking about this over PMs, I dont know for sure, but I dont want to add to the rumors that are sure to fly....

Re: 2 Less Forum Sponsors??

my guess would be that being a sponsor wasn't profitable enough to stay...

Re: 2 Less Forum Sponsors??

Add my name to the curious list as well. I wanted to take a look at some of the stuff at Detailer's Domain and scrolled down to click on the link and went "WTH?"
I'm glad I saw this thread - I wanted to know but didn't know where to ask about it.

Re: 2 Less Forum Sponsors??

I noticed Phil on other sites.

I'll still buy from DD since they're local and have great stuff.

Re: 2 Less Forum Sponsors??

DetailedImage.com is still listed as the sponser of the Professional Detailer General Discussion forum, so they must not be gone completely.

Re: 2 Less Forum Sponsors??

Maybe the other sponsors know what's going on?
