Re: Ed, Farrah, Michael.....Rest In Peace
MJ is more than any of those people, I am not a big fan, but when I see talent you have to give it to him for breaking the race barrier, I mean MTV was not even playing his music as late as 1983 and then couldn't get enough of it !
The media here in North America hardly mentions any of the charity work he was done or supported while focusing on what "we" find as odd or strange. He supported 50 charities and countless of foundations and 20% of all royalties will go to them even after his death as mentioned in his will !
Just listen to the lyrics in his songs, they all have the same message if you listen carefully to them, that is more than anything the Paris Hiltons and Britney Spears of this world ever done !
"...there was nothing strange about your daddy. It was strange what your daddy had to deal with, but he dealt with it." - Rev. Al Sharpton

Re: Ed, Farrah, Michael.....Rest In Peace
MTV was awesome in the 80's....as kids we always talked about the such-n-such new video and gathered round the ol TV for a few hours of back to back vids......but now MTV sucks! (IMHO).
I mean who could forget the cool new Duran Duran vids with the good looking chicks, or the Whitesnake vid with his girlfriend dancing on the car? It was a great time for music and musicians.
MJ, flat out, broke records all over the place and turned music videos and the way they are produced upside down. He was odd but then again most geniuses are in the odd category.
