Re: Gear Patrol Review - Metro Vac N Blo

ZaneO- Good review, but I'd fix the typo on "elimination" at the end of the third paragraph (Heh heh, if I don't spell-check everything I miss worse stuff than that!)

May I be insufferably critical? I woulda said "engineered *into*" instead of "engineered in" at the end of the fourth paragraph. I feel like a jerk being that critical, guess I'm a wanna-be proofreader

I like that you listed the inches of lift, but I can't for the life of me remember whether that 90" is good/mediocre/?what? I *think* it's pretty good for a smallish vacuum.

Hey, if (don't want to say "when" lest I hex my current one!) I need a new vacuum I'll look into the Metro. They make a blower for drying pets that I've given some thought to, but for some reason I never really considered their vacuums before even though I see them in catalogs all the time. Knowing that *you* are so favorably impressed makes me think they're worthy of consideration after all.

They're lucky to have you contributing, I'm already looking forward to your next submission.

Re: Gear Patrol Review - Metro Vac N Blo

Accumulator - I always appreciate constructive criticism. I don't directly publish my articles, so the two issues you pointed out, came through my editor...well, editing. Haha. I hadn't even really noticed. I'll make mention.

90"+ water lift is pretty good, especially for the size of this machine. Usually, those numbers come from much larger vacuums.

I'm sure there will always be more power, but this little thing has an overall awesome package.

Thanks!

Re: Gear Patrol Review - Metro Vac N Blo

ZaneO- Thanks for not taking offense at my unsolicited criticism and for putting the water lift in perspective. Heh heh, I no sooner posted on this thread than I had to work on my current garage vac...it's almost like fate is warning me I'll be buying a new one soon.

Heh heh... I'll toss out a (good-natured) at your editor..Accumulatorette works as a freelance copy editor/proofreader and she'd probably say that if *I* caught something then your editor surely should've spotted it :chuckle If you think *I* am picky about such stuff well, you wouldn't believe how she can be!

Great review! I use the Metro so I had to comment.

todd@bsaw- I'm guessing that you like it too.

I just wish it came with a powerhead...I use that on the larger carpeted areas in the dog haulers and for carpeted floormats.

Autogeek includes a turbo head with theirs, but I have no idea how well it works.
