I think the ad is funny, as you can see in the attached a lot of people don't think its funny.
I think it was ment to be funny.

the truly sad thing is that the Mother's ad is right on the money. Anyone who considers the automatic carwash as car care is probably not a Mothers customer.

However I am sure this will affect Mothers corporate sales. They seem to be trying to move nmore upmarket anyway, so who knows.

The sad part is, these people who seem to be personally offended by this ad don't know what kind of hell they're inflicting on cars, and why this ad makes so much sense. Holograms are the devil.

This Mother's ad is hilarious! If the automatic car wash industry is upset and insulted... SO ARE WE! We're just not offended by Mothers!

to me business is business. I started out at a high volume shop just hacking cars, but in the end the results were a clean shiny hacked car and people were excited. then i was offered a job at a tunnel wash and oil change company. they recruited me to try and change things , so i took the job. ill admit i never seen so much money being made it was sick. after a year and i had enough i just couldn't understand why people keep coming back. realistically though not everyone cares about swirls. they care if there car just shines. maybe someday the public will wake up and see what we as true detailers can do. i think this ad is awesome. its about time some big name steps up and states the facts. controversy is often a good thing for a business!
