Anyone with triplets?
Any ideas on a SUV that will fit 3 infant seats? (Second row, not in the 3rd row. Law in NY)
I am looking at:
Acura MDX
Infiniti FX35 - (looks too tight, went today)
MB R350 4matic
MB GL450
GMC Yukon

Re: Anyone with triplets?
GMC is just too big. I like the MDX more than the others on the list, as Honda is infinitely more reliable than Nissan (in my experience).

Re: Anyone with triplets?
Honestly, there's not too many you can fit three across in, they simply don't offer enough 'hip room'. The Yukon, GL, and R may have a shot, the others, not so much.
I would check out the Yukon, Expedition, GX or LX from Lexus, and the two Mercedes.
Obviously there's only one way to find out, bring three car seats to the dealer and try it out.

Re: Anyone with triplets?
I don't have the seats yet, this was a surprise.
I was looking to see if someone had triplets or just detailed a car with 3 seats in the back for ideas.

Re: Anyone with triplets?
while my choice would be the MDX, i don't think it will suit you and the family over time. you're going to need something bigger such as slicknickis3 stated. go to the dealerships and check them out...

Re: Anyone with triplets?
I'm afraid only a Suburban will work once we add in the dogs and all of the stuff we will have to carry.

Re: Anyone with triplets?
So basically state government regulation is driving you to buy a larger, more inefficient vehicle than you would like...so, congrats are in order?

Or just not have three kids and have a smaller, more appropriately-sized vehicle.

Yes, my wife claims her friend with 3 infants asked the po-po about it. The law is you cant have a child in the 3rd seat of an SUV if the seat is facing rear. I cant find it on the NYS Police website, but I wouldn't do that anyway. Under 1 year of age, I think you have to face the rear regardless.
So for 12 or so trips to the doctor over the next year, I have to buy some huge behemoth of a car I am not too crazy about. Sounds like I'm being worked a bit. It is a happy time though, I'm going to let it slide and just get her what she wants.
Its early, but thanks Mike!
