Any sneaker heads around here?
I collect to wear, mainly nike SB's, but I mix in a few pairs of Jordans from time to time.
Anyone else have extensive shoe collections?
Just seems like there might be a correlation between shoe collectors and autopians.

Re: Any sneaker heads around here?
I have a dress shoe collection not so much sneakers. I've been wearing the same pair of Adidas Sambas for like a dozen years! I also have a nice work boot collection. I have an old school pair of Timberland black and tan leather boots from when I entered college in 1992. I have a shoe maker restoring them now.

Re: Any sneaker heads around here?
I don't collect footwear-that's a chick hobby. But I do try to buy New Balance made in the USA sneakers when I need replacements.

I guess I am just too fem.
I have a few of NB's, but I mainly stick to NIKE.
Spilchy, sounds like a nice collection! With shoes like that do you just have them resoled, or is their other restoration involved? I have several "nice-to-me" shoes that I wear with suits, but certainly don't collect them.

Re: Any sneaker heads around here?
When I wear out a pair of sneakers, they seem to stick around the house for a while, to be used later for jobs when I'll be getting them filthy. I suppose I have maybe 10 pairs...is that the collection you were referring to?

Re: Any sneaker heads around here?
I demote shoes like MF's as BJ007 says, the older ones are for the rain, dirty jobs, etc.

Nah, I meant more like most autopians collects LSP's--we don't really need them, we just collect them, use them once and a while, and wait on the newer version to hit the shelves.
BJ007, more like 10 pair a month for some collectors.

I love sneaker too... If any of you workout and are looking for a new shoe, you MUST try out a pair of Under Armour, they have the best arch support! I am an avid Nike person but adding Under Armour shoes now to my collection.
