A question about SPAM...
I tried to send an e-mail through the FAQ page. It was kicked back to me. So, since I don't know where else to ask, I'll post my questions here! Please direct me to the proper area so I don't create 'havoc' upon the forum!
As sent:
Hello. I would like to post a paper I've written pertaining to the use of specific MEGUIAR'S iquids, as applied with a random-orbital polisher. Before I do, I want to be certain that it is okay to post, as I am an authorized dealer for Meguiar's. Since I am not a sponsor of your forum, and others pay to tout their sites (and products) I wanted to be sure I wouldn't be breaking any rules.
In the paper, I do not mention that someone should 'contact me' to buy this item. In fact, I don't even recommend that a person go out, buy some, and try it. I just want to contribute to the forum and share the knowledge I've gained.
If you'd like a copy to read prior to posting it, I am happy to send a .pdf copy for examination. Please let me know asap, as I'd like to post it before I head to SEMA in Vegas.
Thanks! Kevin Brown
p.s.- I'd like to change my user name on your site from 'iamwaxman' to my real name, 'Kevin Brown'. I asked about this a couple months ago but wasn't able to get the swap done... Is there someone that knows how to do this for me? Mike over at MOL recommended and changed my 'call-sign' over there. I've started using my real name on other forums as well.

Re: A question about SPAM...
I would shoot a PM to Mike Phillips since his job is to monitor the forums there. Since you have talked to him in the past, I'm sure you know he is one of the most friendly people out there
Of course, you can always PM Lynn Phillips here on the boards since she is his wife lol, but a direct PM to him usually works best. Good luck!

I don't think Mike can help me over here...
Are you referring to the name change?
It has to be changed by an autopia forum Moderator (as far as I know)...

Re: A question about SPAM...
Kevin, my understanding of the rules is that since you do not work for Meguiars but are rather a detailing enthusist with a lot of knowledge that it would be absolutely okay for you to post any of your finding.
However I would be very interested in the moderators exact answer I think you are in the clear.
You are wealth of knowledge and an asset to any online community dedicated to improving their skills at detailing.

Re: A question about SPAM...
As long as you aren't pushing a product or getting any financial gain, it should be okay.
