I was in college from 1990 to 1995, which was a fun time.
I worked at a really great "internet job" from 1998 until 2003.
Life is cool now, but it was really bangin' the previous decade.
At least I take better care of my car now. But I must admit that I sometimes miss the days when I didn't know what I was doing ... it took like a tenth of the time for me to "detail" my car.
I hope that last comment doesn't get me banned.

Heh heh, I was teaching college back then so I get a bit of a that so many of you were college students! I still remember when Cobain died and so many of my students were all bent about it.
OK..they were good for me too, but I like today better Even if I *am* that much closer to my own check-out time (sorry, been to lots of funerals lately).
Ya know, honestly...most of the great cars from back then (including the ones I had) could get smoked by a lot of today's grocery-getters.

Anyone remember the video "Cherry Pie?!" My friends loved her. I remember arguing with them that the girl from Chris Isaak's video "Wicked Games" was 10 times hotter! I drove my parent's 1986 Saab 9000s.
College was a blur - too fast (among other reasons!) I can write a book on my time away from home there. I graduated in 1996 (fortunately debt free) and worked in NY City. I remember making insane amounts of cash due to what Alan Greenspan called "irrational exuberance" in the stock market with the dot com companies - buying $9 stocks and selling them for $120. I remember getting in on eBay when it went public (long since sold). My friends and I would rack up $1,200.00 steak dinner bills and then roll over to the premier NY City strip clubs and get the "VIP treatment." I would see celebrities like Howard Stern. We would drive to Atlantic City, eat, drink and play black jack and then drive back up (no sleep) and go to work in the same clothes only to go out again the next night somewhere else outrageous. It was crazy. I was plied with cash. It was like funny money. I had my expenses covered and blew the rest. If only I saved it. I spent all of it. It would have made a nice down payment on a home.
We'll never see that again. I remember my father telling me to relax and save, think long term; that what was occurring was not normal and its going to bite me in the arse hard.
EDIT: check it out boys! Remember this? YouTube - Warrant-Cherry Pie
Now this is who *I* loved! YouTube - Wicked Game

The guy next to us said, "Enjoy it boys, you'll never see the gallons out number the price on a pump again." That was a pretty smart man.
Cars I remember from the 90's:
Mean Sleeper Sedans:
Taurus SHO
Nissan Maxima
Impala SS
Mitsubishi Galant VRX
Others:
The debut of the C5 Vette
Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo
Toyota Supra
Nissan 300Z Twin Turbo
Mustang 5.0 (the notchback was awesome)
