Are you annoyed with the high gas prices?

Gas here in SoCal is finally at $4.05 a gallon for regular with no end in sight! We are in a full blown recession but our government is in denial. Here's where our hard earned dollars are going. Please read this:

FLYING PALACE

In November, Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Group, placed the first firm order for the Airbus A380 Flying Palace, the VIP version of the A380. Alwaleed's net worth is estimated at $20 billion, according to Forbes magazine.

Alwaleed will not be the only private owner of the A380. Edése Doret Industrial Design Inc., a New York-based design company, is working on the interior of another A380 Flying Palace for an undisclosed buyer. The plane will live up to its palatial moniker, though with a "modern and minimalist interior," says Edése A. Doret Jr., the company's president. Using the A380's cargo space, the interior will consist of three levels. The first will serve as the entry and crew area. From there, a spiral staircase will lead to the main deck, where two lounges, a dining room with seating for 14, a galley and entourage seating area await. The third level will house the master bedroom and bathroom with a Jacuzzi. Doret describes his creation as a "flying yacht" with a "New York City loft" feel.

The plane comes with a price tag of nearly $320 million. The interior will cost an additional $150 million, Doret said.

Eh, guys getting rich of gas are the same as guys getting rich off any commodity for the last 10,000 years. Capitalism baby.

You bet!

More so as I have to use 93 octane and the cost is just way too high now.

So much for going into Iraq... No oil from there unless your with Halliburton.

Re: Are you annoyed with the high gas prices?

Not really. Considering what wages were in the 70's compared to now, there's not much difference at all

I have to use BP Ultimate 98 but don't care.

Jesus, stop crying, you have the cheapest gas in the world... I wonder what would you do if you would need to pay $6,50 a gallon (as we do)...

Re: Are you pissed off at the high gas prices?

People can begin driving more efficient cars instead of SUVs that get 15 mpg.... Its all relative.

Re: Are you pissed off at the high gas prices?

I think the time is near, when American people will soon start saving on gas by buying less fuel consuming vehicles. For example in my country, most of cars have 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 petrol or diesel engines. For example my 2.0 140hp petrol engine easily makes 30 mpg.

Re: Are you pissed off at the high gas prices?

I get 50-75 miles per gallon on my Ninja so it doesn't bother me too much. But when I have to fill up me 26+ gallon F-150 it kills me. That truck will be gone in a few months though.

Re: Are you pissed off at the high gas prices?

Its not just gas though folks, its the cost of living period............And I dont know about the rest of you, but my cost of living adjustment averages about 2% a year. Not nearly enough to keep up with the real "cost of living". i.e. teenagers.
We might be whining, but is it really "fair"?
