Re: So,who knows anything about Cyprus??

I know my Music professor played guitar in a band from Cyprus in the '60s and got drunk on Ouzo quite a bit.

Re: So,who knows anything about Cyprus??

Cyprus is an island-country on Europe but is nearest to Asia than Europe,in the Mediterranean Sea.10 months a year is almost Summer : ) and our winter is not bad at all.It is a great place for holidays because you can go from the sea to the mountain only in 1 hour by car .If you search on web you can find more infos of course.
To see Cyprus search on the left down side of that map : )

Re: So,who knows anything about Cyprus??

Cyprus is a large island nation located in the Eastern Mediterranean. It is located directly south of Turkey, and west of Syria. Its' population consists (correct me if I am wrong) a mixture of people of Greek and Turkish descent. That's the limit of my understanding.

Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots were living together until 1974. After Turkish troops came to the island,Cyprus was divided in two parts. The north part (Turkish population) and south part (Greek population). Now the situation is better because the Turkish-Cypriots can came to the south part of the island and also we, the Greek-Cypriots can go to the north part.At the moment a lot of other people are living in Cyprus(Russians and British at the most ).I hope that one day the island is gonna be connected again and all of us live together without problems.
