Re: Buy this man a cee gar!

Wow..At first yeah I thought the guy was going a good/patriotic thing - but to leave the Mexican flag on the ground is just as disrespectful as these business owners to fly their flag above ours.

I see your point josh if that was in Mexico, its disrespectful to us for flying their flag higher. They are in our country however

As we were all told when we were little ones "two wrongs don't make a right." While what these business owners were doing was clearly disrespectful and apparently illegal, destroying someone else's property and theft is still not appropriate. There's a right way and a wrong way to handle things. It's not OK to break the law to stop someone else from breaking the law.

Re: Buy this man a cee gar!

What the shop owners did was wrong, the wrong was righted.

Re: Buy this man a cee gar!

That guy was a moron. He could of handled it so much more respectful than he did. A lot of people don't even know proper flag etiquette. I'm sure if they asked the owners they would of changed it. At least they had the US Flag hanging. Probably got in his Mexican made Ford Fusion and went home to watch his dumb a$$ on the news from his Japanese made television.

Re: Buy this man a cee gar!

I'm also confused by the concept that patriotism somehow excludes respect for other countries/cultures.

Re: Buy this man a cee gar!

I agree with the "two wrongs don't make a right" part. He could have called the authorites and had them handle it. He chose to make a stand and do what he thought was right in the name is patriotism. By the way patriotism is defined as: devoted love, support, and defense of one's country; national loyalty.

There's nothing in there about respecting anyone else's country. Let alone someone who had the balls to put thier flag above ours.....in "OUR" country! Citizenship status aside.....the shop owner was wrong for putting thier flag above ours and should have been held accountable for his actions.
