How long does it normally take to put pictures on your computer?

Well i got

today. I had some information on a dvd that I needed to copy to my computer (as you can see in the picture, me = legend fiend.) Normally a few gigabytes of information takes what, about 10 minutes AT MOST? Well my computer decided otherwise.

thats right, it was going to take my computer 121 YEARS to load that amount of information. I clicked cancel and tried it again and it only took 3 minutes so idk what was up lol.
