Trouble Posting a thread

I'm trying to post a new thread in car and driver, but it's giving me errors. Whenever I hit submit it just goes to a blank page. Is anyone else having any trouble. This is also a test to see if it works.

Re: Trouble Posting a thread

That thread worked. I tried the other thread in IE and it give me a page cannot be displayed.

What I'm trying to post is relatively lengthy.

Thanks

Re: Trouble Posting a thread

No it does not. I saw that and have some posts awaiting approval in that queue. It does not get that far though. Those posts have a message saying you may need review/approval to post. (Forget the exact wording)

Re: Trouble Posting a thread

bumoftheday,

Try using a different title for your thread. For whatever reason, our current version of vB occasionally chokes on a new thread, and it seems to be related to the characters in the title. If you can't get the thread to submit with a very simple title (try it with no punctuation or special symbos), let me know.

Thanks,
Tort

Re: Trouble Posting a thread

I ended up posting a thread saying test and editing it. http://autopia.org/forum/car-driver/...ml#post1077333 is the post. Any reason you can see why it wouldn't post?

Thanks,
bum

No, nothing obvious. As I said, our forum software seems to choke on some thread titles, and we really don't know why or what seems to cause it. It's not related to how many posts you have; some long-time members have had the same issue crop up.

Good to see you found a workaround . . .
