Dog experts...your best guess

My sister snapped a really good pic of my goofballs together with her phone the other day. What breeds do you think my dogs are? They're both rescues and not purebred, so lets hear some guesses. Jinx is on the right Murray is on left....I know what I think about Jinx from looking at pics, but Murr is another story....

Re: Dog experts...your best guess

Martha Stewart had a guy on the other day talking about DNA testing for dogs to see what breeds make up your dogs. Interesting stuff, but I missed the cost part.

I vote also for Murray being yellow lab mix. The one blue eye in Jinx suggests to me that there is some Australian Shepherd in his lineage. His snout also (Jinx') has the shape of an Aussie.

Re: Dog experts...your best guess

Jinx (my female) looks to me like she has a lot of Finish Spitz in her from pics. Actually a friend of mine brought that to my attention. Murr.....well, I think he's got a lot of different breeds in him. His ears actually measure 13 inches from tip to tip. Not an easy measurement to take either!

They've got a huge fenced back yard to run in and they still choose to run and chase each other in the small front yard.

The above is about all I could come up with too

Cool dogs, glad they're getting a second chance.

How does Jinx do in the Impala?

I hardly drive the car anymore, so nobody really rides in it other than me. Those two dogs love to go for rides in a car though.

Siberian Huskies also often have a brown and a blue eye. The AKC breed standards describe and allow two different color eyes in the breed. Not that it makes any difference, Jinx is a good dog one way or the other. They both look like great dogs.

Yeah, I could care less about what kind of dogs they are, but whenever I bring them anywhere people always have to guess. I just figured I'd see what you guys think. They love to go to Brusters and get a doggy cone in the summer. They're always a hit there....except you have to watch Murray because small children sometimes hold their ice cream at right about his height.....

They both love little kits...really they're a hit everywhere they go. I've got a neighbor that's always been scared of dogs, and MUrray usually licks him when he comes over....even though he wont pet either of dog.
