i saw the gtr in person
the jdm r35 gtr is making its socal rounds
here are some pics i took before my camera died XD
its gorgeous in person, and for 70k you cant go wrong for what you get.
what i didnt like was the girl presenting it. she just regurgitated information she read. it didnt seem natural, and i guarantee she had no idea what she was talking about. i would have rather had a enthusiastic guy up there whos just as giddy as i am that the new gtr can go 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, and does the quarter mile in 11 secs. out of the box.

Re: i saw the gtr in person
yeah i pretty much couldnt stop staring at it. its quite a piece of work.
my friend and i were sitting in the charger srt8 talking about why it doesnt come with manual, and this dad and his kids walk up and look under the hood.
"whoa its got a hemi"
"omg a hemi!
dad: "this would smoke that gtr off the line"
my friend and i looked at each other, shook our heads and got out of the car and just walked away...

It really is amazing how little some people know.
Even though I am far from knowing it all, I have found I can't talk cars to most strangers because most of them think they know what they are talking about and have no idea.

Re: i saw the gtr in person
Honestly, I like the car better from those pics than anything I have seen in Motor Trend or the other mags. I wonder how the fit and finish on that thing is going to be for 70K. Also, why aren't they marketing it under the Infiniti nameplate?

Re: i saw the gtr in person
Saw the car in person at the local auto show a few weeks back. It looks WAY better in person than it does in pictures.

Re: i saw the gtr in person
the orginal gtr was under Nissan so I think they wanted to keep the name. That car is awesome though!!

I agree. Saw it yesterday @ the Indy Auto Show. Great combination of aggressiveness, swoopyness (is that a word?) and sex appeal. Looks fast just sitting still w/o being overdone like a lot of sportscars. Reminds me a lot of an ALMS car.

Re: i saw the gtr in person
I was going to buy one (seriously) until I found out it only came with an SMG. Now I am thinking Z06 instead...
