This is what happens...

When you park your car on the street.

Car is no longer for sale due to a jack ace not knowing how to drive. Supposely the person hit another vehicle because the police got another call with the same vehicle description. The person also bounced off my car, ran up the curb, and lost their CV joint boot cover and then came back onto the road and then ran the up the curb about 100 ft away.

Was at the gf's house, 2 hrs later. Her dad hears something, goes out and finds my car got hit. He gets in his Turbocharged Diesel Truck, flies down the road to find no one...

This WAS a hit & runs btw.

Here's the carnage:

Honestly, it doesn't look to bad. New axle, brakes, quarter panel, bumper, tail light, upper and lower control arms..

Damn that sucks. Thankfully, it's a civic; so finding parts shouldn't be a problem.

Re: This is what happens...

Well, I told the insurance and body shop to only use OEM parts if it repairable. I didn't see any frame damage. But they will have to replace the WHOLE quarter panel which is HUGE, the bumper, tail light, brakes, upper and lower control arms, and any other misc. in there.

Make sure they blend the left rear door and try for the decklid too. Who's the insurance company?

Word of caution : EHs and EGs have really old chassis. Do get it aligned up with at least a proper automated, chassis straightening robot. or better yet, laser - aligned. I had to choke up almost USD 700.00 just to realign and repair my EG6 chassis!

Yeah ever since my car was broken into, I don't park on the street. And the time I do; I pay for it.

Re: This is what happens...

This is my car I normally drive. But the black civic is the car I drive when the turboed one is down. This is the turboed one..

This is the other car that was in the accident and that I drive when need be. Don't mind the lambo doors. I got the car with them and have switched them to the normal doors.

Re: This is what happens...

Hehehehe...nope. My car got into a snap oversteer that damaged about 40% of the chassis and body. I sent the car the the only laser alignment bodywork shop in Malaysia, and sure as hell as they're the only one locally, they charge a bomb.

But the car came out better than new. I knew about it because even my regular tyre shop who does my alignment was surprised to find out how easy it was to set up my car's alignment up to my specs ( oversteering FF car ).
