HD POXY - 2005 Honda CRV

I'm not much of a wax/sealant guy but HD POXY looks amazing. And the fact
that I can apply it on virtually all hard surfaces (including glass) is a plus.
This is my FIRST all-over polish/wax job; only the tailgate was refinished.

Quick two step with IP/CCS white and finished with FPII/CCS black.

*The temps were very high (100+) and M205 was a bit of pain to work with.
Very difficult to remove. Menzerna IP was the ticket...

Except the glass (Stoners) and tires (Megs ASD), everything else is HD POXY.

One big observation, aside from the amazing gloss, is that there was very little
dust accumulation even after several days. And with the recent fires I would
have thought it would be covered in ashes and dust... My sister, who rarely
washes her vehicle, nor cares too much about detailing, mentioned this fact
the other day.

Thanks for the pics and the comments.

I see you had HD UNO out. One of the things that I have failed to mention is that it is possible to go directly from HD UNO to POXY without wiping off the UNO first. I do this myself because it saves a wipe step and the UNO film comes off like magic with the HD POXYPAD and a little bit of POXY.

The UNO worked great by hand but impossible with my LC pads. Need to get
the Unopads.

The LC pads suck out all of the water

Just wish they made the Uno pads in a larger size. I don't like the idea of buying a whole new backing plate if I can avoid it.

Agreed. But the DA Foam Pad kit with a free 9oz. bottle of Uno for $38 is a good deal.

Interesting about the almost anti-static properties you describe. I'll have to swing by the 3D near us to get some samples or small bottles of this line. Yea, Menz polishes are the ticket for me on 95% of my jobs. None-the-less, the CRV looks clean.

Re: HD POXY - 2005 Honda CRV

A few more hours of polishing/jeweling would have really helped. Ran out of time.

Working on the rotary pads, yes... release date, no. The first HD Pro pad 3D will release is the wool. This is because their is a demand in body shops.

I had nearly 60 days to thrash test the HD Consumer pads. Need more time to do the same with the Pro line.

Once the HD Pro pads are available, you can count on bundles and kits.

Re: HD POXY - 2005 Honda CRV

DB,

Any chance of HD releasing an UNO pad appropriately sized for the Flex? I think the permanent backing plate is 5.5".
