It is supposed to protect the car from the cord hitting it...I think?

It seems pointless for me because I work mostly in gravel so it would just get dirty and leave that dirt on the car, but for someone who works in the driveway of their home I could see it being beneficial.

lecchilo...rwain is correct it is made from his super soft material that will protect the cord from "slapping" the paint while you work

EDIT: I guess I should make it clear that I want the Blue/orange, and the (new) white pad.....I would take the used white, but I have no idea what a constant pressure pad is, LOL.
