Well then look closer because $2.99 is impossible, it must be some cheap plastic thing you saw.

I'm fairly happy with the $5 version I bought at WalMart in the auto section. And no, it's not plastic.

ill go buy one and see if i can can take pictures of it. i doubt it was plastic as it was very heavy

i went to go check it out again, i was going to look it up but i forgot the name..maybe ill go check again in a little bit

it was heavy! feels like soild metal completly inclosed in rubber

I am very happy with mine. I actually have two of them. One for the front of my house and one for the rear.

get the craftsman version from sears for $20 with the LIFETIME WARRANTY (no questions asked if you break it even if it's your fault)...
