Long Haul Deal's

Went to my local O'Reilly's at lunch today.

Found the the following marked down ?

Truck Polish and Wax $4.99 ( original ( $11.99 ? ) 24oz size bottle
Quick Detailer ( Spray Gloss ) $2.99 24oz size bottle
Truck Wash Concentrate $2.49 24oz size bottle

Not sure if there clearing this stuff out ? Just a heads up.

I though those were very attractive prices so I pulled the trigger and picked up the Polish/Wax and Spray Gloss.

I have two full bottles of Meguairs NXT wash at home I picked up off clearance last year still to use, so I didn't need the Long Haul Wash.

I'm thinking the Polish /Wax will work well on the White Grand Caravan with some IW over top.

It kinda reminds me of how Target used to have Mobil 1 for less than $4 a quart. It's now well over $5. Every OReilly's in my area has the same price. That's the reason I have all of it. From what I can tell, it's not marked down, it's just their price. Go stock up before they figure it out.

I talked to the manager a t my local PepBoys and he said they are clearing that Long Haul stuff out.
He claims it never sold very well.
I bought 7 bottles of the Truck Gloss QD at $3 each for 28 oz.
This stuff is very good. Lots of gloss and very wet looking. Tried it on both light and dark cars and it looked good on both. Never showed any sign of streaking.
Hey for that price give it a try, what do you have to lose.

I might go pick up another couple bottles of the quick detailer.

28oz for $3 is a very good price.

I have read some of the posts about it being a good detailer.

The QD works alright, but it STINKS. I've never used such an unpleasant smelling product.

I can live with it for the price, though

Ah yes the smell. How could I forget to mention it. Not a chemical smell but something like a nasty womens purfume. And it lasts a long time. I've used LSPs that didn't last as long as the smell of this QD.
I could find my car in a parking lot blindfolded.

But for the price I'm overlooking it.

Try the new Carnauba Gold Kit Wax QD. Stinks something awful like gasoline and the smell won't leave your towels unless you wash twice.

The cleaners in there without a doubt compromised the LSP as it stated it works on oxidation. Not sure about Long Haul, but the smell maybe harsh like the Kit Wax. But it did offer protection for a few weeks on my mom's garaged car.

My local place has all the Long Haul's priced cheap from $2 to $6 for the whole line. Its not marked for clearance, just cheap.
