Little Green Cleaning Machine on clearance...

I went to my local Best Buy at the Bissell Little Green Cleaning Machine was on clearance fro $54.95. Normal price is $89.95. Looks like its being replaced by the Spot Bot. I had been kicking around the idea of picking one up and almost did three weeks ago. Now I'm glad I didn't because I saved a few bucks today. If you've been thinking of getting one, now is the time since it looks like stores will be discounting them to make way for the Spot Bot...

Yes, this is for the heated version. It always retailed for $89-99 at the places I looked (Target, WalMart, Best Buy), so IMO $54.95 is a steal.

I stopped by my local Best Buy today to check this out and the Little Green was $75. Did you buy an open box one maybe? I even checked the price using the scanner and it was still $75.

There were two LGCMs at my BB. One was open box, the other was still brand new. My buddy bought the new one, I bought the open box one. The tag on the shelf said "Clearance: $54.95" and thats what my buddy paid. I paid $49.95 since it was open box. Maybe not all the stores are clearancing them that low?

I just use hot water in mine and spray my cleaner of choice right on the carpet/mat/whatever. Lately I've been using Meg's APC at 4:1 on some really grimey stuff, scrubbing with the Meg's interior/carpet brush, and then rinsing/extracting with the LGM. I've gotten the water literally black doing this, and even dark brown using this method on what looked like pretty clean mats. Works for me.
