That's actually not a bad price, this tape isn't cheap. I don't know if you've checked with napa or not, but you may want to try them. FWIW, I think I paid around 5-6 for my roll too, but I don't use it as much as I should.
With shipping, it may be hard to beat that price on one roll. I agree that 233+ is not that cheap in general. I find for some uses regular tan masking tape works as well for less, but 233+ rules for sticking to paint and not leaving residue. It is quite a bit stickier than regular tan stuff or the blue painters tape, so it will hold on well if a buffing pad hits it or whatever.
I didn't like tha tan masking tape for painting or detailing but do like the Green stuff though. I can only find it at the Auto body/paint supply store. I forget exactly how much I paid but I remember asking b4 I brought it and the price didn't seem that bad.
For those that live in the New England area..Ocean State Job Lot has the blue painters tape in various widths from 1.99 for the 1 inch to 2.49 for the 2 inch or the 1 1/2..I forget which size was 2.49...but was decent tape...does the job..
