Thumbs up Wal-mart .97cent sale

Wal-mart in New Bern, NC had a end cap sale of stuff for 97 cents. They had wash buckets (lime green, dark blue, light blue), some sort of sponges and a 2 pack of Microtex microfiber towels. They had the towels in lime green, blue, and orange. I find this important so I don't get them mixed up with my quality MF's. A pretty good deal those 2 pack mf's are of pretty decent quality, should work well for my dirty jobs. I got 4 packs of them and 2 wash buckets. I didn't get the sponge as I couldn't think of anything to use it on. Just thought I would let you all know.

I'm not sure if the buckets are the 12 Quart Utility Pail by United Plastics. These buckets have graduated markings and a single pour spout. $.97 is the everyday price for those buckets. The AutoShow SoftGrip sponges are also normally priced at $.97. I have several of both products. The buckets in particular have held up well and are a real bargains. I have recently began using a six bucket wash system comprised of (1) 5 gallon wash bucket, (1) 5 gallon rinse bucket and (1) of these 12 Quart pre-rinse buckets per side.

yeah they just usually don't have a good selection of buckets. they are the buckets you describe. i like having different colors for different things, like one bucket for washing wheels and one bucket with soap for washing the car and one clean water bucket. the microfiber towels are of pretty decent quality and i figured 2 for less than a buck is a pretty good deal. what do you use your sponges for? i have never seen this deal at my wal-mart here before so that is why I was excited about it.

The WMs I frequent seem to keep a good stock (in addition to the colors you mention, we also have ORANGE I've had my buckets for better than a year, and they haven't torn up yet.

I wash with them. (OK, I also use sea sponges, grout sponges, chenile pads and the occasional sheepskin mitt [ooooh that smell ]) If you're hesitant to use them on upper panels, try them for the lower panels first. Or cut them into a size for washing your wheels.
