IME a lot of the staining comes from excess product drying in the material's pores/texture. And once Collinite sets up, well...it's *set up*. If you're gonna try LSPing these outside-the-box applications, use a W-O-W-O method and be sure you really do get it all off. Eh...or just use 845 instead. In fact, using 845 and *then* 476S seems to make 476S-issues less likely; the base of 845 probably smoothes out the surface a little bit so you get less excess 476S or something like that.
And hey, I bet there's a lot of YMMV anyhow- the application/buffing technique, the prep, the material, all sorts of things.
I was just surprised that somebody had such different experiences than I did. The first time I tried 476S like that I was expecting a real disaster, man was I relieved when things turned out OK.
