Re: Halogen work lights at Home Depot
also noticed they had a removable wet/dry vac top that you use in conjunction with a 5 gallon bucket. you just put it on top of a 5 gallon bucket and use it like you would any normal wet/dry vac, it looked pretty interesting and you were able to demo it. IIRC... it was around $20+...

I've found the extra 2 bulbs help a marginal amount. I usually just use 1 on each just to save energy but usually when i do the initial inspection i have all 4 on.

Re: Halogen work lights at Home Depot
This looks virtually identical to the $20 setup I found at Sears a year or two ago. I've been very pleased with the utility and output of it. My first bulb burned out 2 weeks ago and I installed the spare bulb they provided.
I can remove each light from the stand and set it on the ground when needed...that's a nice feature. They do get very hot which is a minor downside. Shadows (when painting in the house, for example) can be a bit extreme.

cool, thanks for the input. i was just at another HD today, and they had the 250 watt X 2 stand that is normally $25 on clearance for $13. i was going to purchase it, but it was all taped and beaten up and looked like (ups handled it) it was damaged...

Garbage, for the everyday Joe who doesn't need a wet/dry vac its perfect. If you plan on using it for multiple times its a no-no

Re: Halogen work lights at Home Depot
My HD doesn't list them as even an item online. Anyone else experience this?

i believe it's a promo item, and when they are all sold out that's probably going to be it, or they will raise the price to compete with the others they have...

Re: Halogen work lights at Home Depot
I can't find this on Homedepot's website other than the link you sent which is your local ad. It isn't in my local ad either. Anyone in the midwest have any luck getting one of these for $20?

go in to your local HD and they will be in the front (they also had them where the other halogen light stands were as well) where the registers are and if you can't find it just ask...
