*Metabo PE12-175* Rotary For Sale
Guys,
I'm selling a Metabo PE12-175 Rotary Polisher.
I've only used it once to polish my car. I burned through an edge on my fender so I'm getting a Flex instead. It was my first time polishing so I'd rather be on the safe side.
Only once used. However, its build quality is amazing; simply a really solid machine.
PM me or chime in for your offers.
Cheers!

Don't sell it. A Flex would have burned that same edge, it's not like it has lesser edge burning powers. Just stay away from edges with a rotary and you are golden.

Yea he did. But like I said, that is a powerful DA, and it's not like if he did the exact same thing with a Flex it would have saved the edge. Maybe with a PC it would have.
The only thing you are gonna get with the Flex DA is slightly less power, but it still would have enough to burn through edges. Burning through probably isn't the proper term, you just ran out of paint so you more so "Cut" through the edge than "Burned" it. I never go near edges with my rotary, and after what Scottwax said, I'm not sure how much safer a DA would be because with the rotary, the main thing you worry about is burning the paint from excessive heat, which seems to be pretty hard to do if Scottwax polishes outside in the full Texas 110 degree sun.

Re: *Metabo PE12-175* Rotary For Sale
* Status Bump*
Still Available
The cheapest I saw the Metabo PE12-175 online was $200 plus shipping.
You can have it $170/OBO plus shipping. Just send me your zipcode.
I also have pads and a flexible 6.5" Backing Plate from Lake country for the rotary.
Used once pads = Lake country Orange, yellow, white and black LC VC pads and 1 LC CCS Black pad.
New pads that I have are LC CCS Orange and white CCS pads.
New pads $5 and used ones $2 ea. Online pads are $11 bucks a pup new.
and the Backing plate is $19.99 online at autogeek. Mine = $10.
Used stuff is only used once; I'm still learning so I'm pretty new. New stuff is brand new.
So just pop me a message . Thanks
I'll post pics up soon...

Mystick, as much as I think machine polishing is overdone. It's a poor workman who blames his tools. (Although a smarter workman knows what tools he can use with sucess)

Re: *Metabo PE12-175* Rotary For Sale
Have any pics of the pads, and a package deal for them all? WHat size are they? And why not use them with the Flex?
Nice proce on the Metabo, who ever buys it will have it for years!!! Metabo's are great workhorses they never fail!
I started out the the Flex 3401 owned it a year, then bought the Metabo, for the last 6 details all I have used was the Metabo, its light, fast, I love it! Still have my Flex, I am sure I will pick it up again, I do like the handling of the Flex better than the Metabo, more ergonomic. However I work in the HVAC indusrty and use a Metabo grinder everyday...and have no issues with ergonomics...what gives?? Maybe its because I first used the Flex for polishing, so my mind is still telling me how a polisher should feel. Hmm maybe I will have to pic up one of Flex's 3403 rotaries...
Good luck with the sale!!
