Griot's Garage 15% off sale

They are giving 15% off of everything in their Car Care category. This includes washing/waxing supplies and tools. Their random orbit polisher is taken down to $110.49 (before tax and shipping).
If for some reason the discount isn't already taken off when you view the item in your cart, the discount code is EMTJR
Offer expires 4/23/09.

wogdog- Welcome to Autopia!

Heh heh, it's kinda funny..my wife orders from Griot's once in a blue moon, mainly little presents for me. I order a *LOT* from them, and on a regular basis. Guess which one of us got notified about that 15% off. Maybe I'm still on their [stuff]-list after all

And their shipping is a killer too...I try to place huge orders where the shipping is simply 10% of the total.

If you can find the same/equivalent products elsewhere you can save a bundle, but a few of their offerings seem to be truly unique and, well, I'm still 100% sold on some of their stuff.

Yeah, I guess that preference of mine is sinking in around here

Though I'm seriously considering trying the (considerably cheaper) Optimum shampoo at tom p.'s recommendation. Heh heh, I'm afraid there's still enough good Griot's stuff to keep my $ flowing their way even if I do switch shampoos

Re: Griot's Garage 15% off sale

Accumulator...I have the Optimum Shampoo and I really really really love it. I've tried quite a few this past year and I like this one the best.

It is very sudsy, extremely sudsy. I put in 2.5 ounces in a 5 gallon bucket and I've got suds for day and days. I can leave it sitting there for an hour and the suds don't seem to diminish. For me, the cleaning ability is great as well. It dries nicely as well. It doesn't leave streaks or anything. I love it.

I've been tempted to try Griots stuff though :-).

You impressions of the Optimum are similar to my own. It's one heck of a soap and works great in the foam gun. I'll be switching to the Optimum once my Griot's soap supply is fully depleted.

Re: Griot's Garage 15% off sale

I'm a fairly regular Griot's online shopper and I never received any kind of discount notice. I may just stick to shopping at the local Complete Garage that carries Griots stuff that I use...and save the shipping altogether.

Ah, lucky you! That must be nice, having a local source for Griot's stuff.

And it might get depleted pretty fast what with your auctioning it off. The fact that you're selling it speaks volumes IMO.
