I have a very stupid question, so pardon my ignorance to technology. When someone posts an item for sale, and mentions their PayPal address, how does one go about actually purchasing from that address?

OK, so the person purchasing would have to have a PayPal account as well?

Cool, thanks for the response. I will set up an account for future purchases. I didn't know if it was possible for a buyer to buy without actually having an account themselves. Thanks again for your help.

When you go to the PayPal website, under the "Home" tab, you have the option to "Send Money". You input the person's email address, your email address, and the amount you want to send them. Then you choose either "Service/Other", "Goods", or "Cash Advance". The next page will ask you for your CC info and also ask you to create a password. You should be able to figure out the rest from there. This will set up your PayPal account and also send payment to the other person.

As an advice, I suggest you always use a credit card to pay for your items instead of your checking account. Not only does your CC process quicker than an e-check payment, but if you ever had to dispute any charges, you will at least have the benefit of your credit card company helping you dispute charges. PayPal's not exactly known for being on "your side".
