Once it builds up pressure it starts to cycle off and on like it's gonna blow up. Damn I just brought this thing in Febuary.
Well I have 3 options.
1) Take it to the local authorized repair facility (10 mile drive to the other side of town)
2) Do a rapid exchange w/ Karacher (they send me another one up front and I send this one back. Takes 5 to 7 days
3) Say Fluck it and get a Craftsman Clean N Carry on sale at Sears, where I got this one from.
Any opinions would be welcome. Also chime in if you've been through this.
TIA | |

I just picked up my 7 month old Sears dehumidifier (really nice, made in China) from warranty repair, and the guy at the desk was telling me I might want to buy the extended warranty before the year was up because "they only last about a year". My old one, only broke once every 5 years, and the second time I didn't figure it was worth fixing.

I'm thinking maybe I'll do this rapid exchange thing, but it's a gamble either way.

Just get me going on their dehumidifiers though We run three dehumidifiers and it seems like they go bad pretty often. Not like Oasis brand ones from the old days that would last for decades.
