Wall mounted florescents

I read a few posts about people wanting to mount florscent lights not only on the ceiling, but also on the side walls. Has anyone done this? Any thoughts?

I have thought about doing this, I use to have a cart that had 2 florescents mounted on it and I could roll around the garage and it worked great!

Do you have any pics of the wall mounting. Sounds good to me, the more light the better.'

Cheers,

Garage lighting

I just had four fluorescent lights installed in my garage. I have two units joined together per side. I am using T8 fixtures that have 0F electronic ballasts and 3-sided diffusers. I am using GE Starcoat F32T8/SPX41 lamps with a 4100K colour warmth.

The fixture I have is made by Lithonia model DCW 132/120 GEB. The lights are about 48" long and I have them mounted at about the 7' from the ground.

These units are $60 CDN each. I had to order them and they took about 6 weeks to get. I really like the side lighting in the garage as there are NO shadows along the sides now.

Here's the link to Lithonia:

Harry.
